A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM RYAN Keyes

I’m not happy with the Board’s decision to raise water rates, especially at a time of economic turmoil. With COVID, too many of our friends and neighbors are undergoing a huge amount of stress. Kids staying at home, some parents currently unemployed or underemployed struggling to provide for their families. If anything the Board should be focused on coming up with creative ways to lower the rates, not raise them.

If I’m so fortunate to be elected I want to put the focus back on where it belongs, providing safe clean water at an affordable rate. I’d argue Otay Water has forgotten that they work for the rate payers. My goal is to bring consumer advocacy and transparency to that organization. With your help that goal can become a reality.
